Preparing your MLS CSV export
CompShield reads your closed-sale export in your browser and maps the columns automatically. You do not need to rename anything if your MLS uses one of the common column names listed below. The file itself is never uploaded to our servers.
Columns and accepted names

Matching ignores spaces, capitals and punctuation, so "Close Price" and "close_price" both work. If a column is not recognised, rename its header to one of the names above.
File limits and row handling
Up to 5,000 data rows, 60 columns and 5 MB. One header row is required.
A row is excluded, and listed back to you with the reason, when the sale price or living area is missing or non-numeric, when a value falls outside plausible bounds (price under $1,000 or over $100,000,000; living area under 100 or over 40,000 sq ft), or when it duplicates an earlier record.
Cells that begin with =, +, - or @ are neutralised before display and export so a poisoned export cannot run formulas in your spreadsheet.
A sale date column is strongly recommended: without it the model cannot describe the period your data covers.
