Use of the service

CompShield provides analytical tools for residential real estate appraisers. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

Your data

You must have the right to upload the MLS data and property information you submit, and you are responsible for complying with the terms of your MLS or data provider.

Credits and subscriptions

Report credits are consumed when an analysis is generated; a failed or rejected run consumes nothing. Subscriptions renew until cancelled and can be managed from the billing page in your account. Your monthly report allowance resets on your Stripe billing-cycle renewal date and unused monthly reports do not roll over. Purchased credit packs do not expire and are only used once the monthly allowance is exhausted.

Refunds. Refunds are processed manually by our support team, not automatically. Request one within 14 days of the charge. A subscription charge or renewal is refunded in full when no reports were generated in that billing period, and pro-rated by the unused reports when some were. Credit packs are refunded for the credits still unused. Reports already generated are not refundable. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not by itself refund past charges. When a payment is refunded or charged back, the corresponding credits are removed from the account.

CompShield is an analytical support tool and does not replace the appraiser's professional judgment. The appraiser remains responsible for data selection, methodology, analysis, conclusions, and compliance with applicable appraisal standards.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
